  Faithful walk with God

Genesis 5:23-24
23 Altogether, Enoch lived a total of 365 years.
24 Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.

This is the first reference of the word “faith” or “faithful” in the Bible. Enoch walked faithfully with God. The word “faithful” means remaining loyal and steadfast.

Walking with God itself speaks of a true, deep relationship. Amos 3:3 says “Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?”. This means Enoch walked in agreement with God.

God took Enoch away. Possibly the people then could have seen God taking him away just like how apostles saw when Jesus was taken up.

Well we can’t forget the age of Enoch if we connect with the number of days in a year.

Application

How is our walk with God? What we must do more to become loyal and steadfast? Is there anything that we don’t agree to God?
